I must admit. It is facinating to walk around in a shopping mall.
It’s all there! All kinds of people are there; rich, poor, happy, sad
ambitious, depressed, lucky, hungry…they are all there, me included.
Some have stated that shopping is the new hunting. We hunt to get
a better life, feel great and escape from reality for a while.
Personally I feel exhausted when I leave a shopping mall.
My head is heavy, and I do really want to fly away to a quiet
place to put everything back into the right perspective.
You know as well as me that most of us do not need all the
things we actually shop. We do not need a new shirt if we
have one hanging in the closet. We do not need a new pair
of sneakers if the ones we have are not worn out. We do
ofcourse need food, but nearly as much as we end up carrying
to our car. The soda is way to big, the; Grab 10 – pay for 8 is
a trick, but we tend to be victims for that trick over and over
again. And, where did all the money go in the end of the day?
What was wrong with the old television? Do I actually need
an iPad? Why do I dream about wearing that new suit?
There is way to much to choose from. Most of the stuff is made
far away, and mainly in China. Alot of people around the world
struggle with large credit cards bills. Buy now
pay in 9 months
is easy right there and then. The want of NOW, overweighs the;
You do actually do need to work hard to pay those bills. 9 months
are far away, and until that time I’ll get a raise at my job. I might
win in the big lottery. But none of those things happend. Life
returns to normal. I might as well loose my job, but I do have a
cinema sound and a plasma TV where I can watch the new Blue Ray
films I just bought.
A lot of people are anxious theese days. A lot of people, at least in
the western part of the world are worried. The owner (s) of the company
outsourced my job. I get paid a lousy buck from the government,
my house rental is way gone. My kids are crying because they can’t attend
the vacation I had promised them. What should I do?
My advice is this. Start taking notes. Start to get rid of all the things
you do not need. Sell them. If you do not actually need a new pair of
jeans, don’t buy them. Pay off your bills, but at the same time, cut of
the monthly slavery. Charles Linden has helped thousands of people
to get rid of their anxiety. I do believe, to get rid of anxiety in one
way or the other is absolutely the beginning on a new journey. I do
believe it is vital to become the CEO in your life, and not your own slave.
Life is not found in a shopping mall?
It is, and it is not. Find your purpose in life. Find your passion.
Do not give up before you find your talent. Start listening to the
voice within. Actuallly, get rid of all the crap. Find out how you
would spend your time if everything was possible. Make a circle
on a piece of paper. Divide your day into the things you actually would
spend your time on. Make a similar circle with how you spend
your time right now. Start out changing the things you can change today,
and change the rest a small step at the time. Make a plan and stick
to it. You’ll discover that you are on your new path in seconds.
It is that easy, and it is really hard at the same time. But start right now.
Find your purpose. There are people out there longing for you to find
your purpose. When you do that, you’ll be able to help them with their
purpose as well.
